Established in 2005, the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) is a state university located in Awantipora, Jammu and Kashmir. Spanning over 205 acres, the campus blends rural tranquility with modern infrastructure, featuring contemporary academic blocks, advanced laboratories, and the Rumi Library, which houses approximately 50,000 books and subscribes to numerous journals and newspapers. The university offers hostel accommodations, sports facilities, and has recently established a community radio station (FM 91.2 MHz) to enhance communication and outreach. IUST comprises several schools, including Technology, Sciences, Business Studies, and Humanities & Social Sciences, offering a range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs.
