UP Round 2 NEET PG 2025 Guidelines

The Round-2 seat allotment in UP NEET PG 2025 will be carried out strictly according to the updated Round-2 merit list. Candidates who already deposited their security amount in Round-1 are not required to pay it again, including those who did not join or resigned their earlier seat under the Free Exit provision. During choice filling, candidates will be shown Vacant, Not-Reported, and Resigned seats as clear-cut vacancies. Along with these, the system will also display Seat Against Cancellation (SAC), which represents virtual vacancies created when previously admitted candidates receive an upgraded seat.

It is mandatory to lock choices after filling them. Candidates who fail to lock their choices will not be considered for Round-2 allotment. Once the choices are locked, the system will not allow any changes under any circumstances. If a candidate receives an upgraded seat in Round-2, their earlier seat will be automatically cancelled and offered to the next eligible candidate. Therefore, candidates should include their previous seat in their preference list only if they genuinely wish to retain it.

Admission on a Round-2 allotted seat is compulsory. Failure to report will lead to forfeiture of the entire security amount, and the candidate will be required to pay it again for participation in Round-3. For Government college allotments, candidates must complete the admission process directly at the respective institution. For Private colleges, admission formalities must be completed at the designated nodal centre mentioned on the allotment letter.

Candidates allotted private seats must pay the tuition fee only through a CTS Demand Draft in favour of Director General Medical Education & Training, U.P., payable at Lucknow. OBC and EWS candidates should ensure that their certificates are issued on or after 1 April 2025 and strictly in the UP-approved format. All admitted candidates must undergo medical fitness verification at the nodal centre or allotted college.

After completing all procedures at the nodal centre, candidates must additionally report to their allotted college as instructed. The entire counselling process will be conducted according to the government order dated 06 June 2025 and the UP NEET PG 2025 brochure. Applicants should regularly check upneet.gov.in and dgme.up.gov.in for updates.
