Security Deposit & Seat Allotment – Important Rules
The refundable security deposit is directly linked to the candidate’s reporting and admission status. If a candidate is allotted a seat in Round-2 or subsequent rounds and does not report to the allotted college, the security amount will be forfeited. Security is also forfeited if the allotted seat is later cancelled due to any discrepancy such as wrong information at registration or failure to produce required original documents at the time of admission.
Candidates who join the Round-2 allotted seat may be allowed to resign within the permitted time-frame, but in such cases the security deposit will still be forfeited. If a candidate does not report after Round-2 allotment, they can participate in Round-3 only with fresh registration and a new security deposit. Similarly, if a candidate does not join the upgraded/allotted seat during Round-3, the security amount will be forfeited and they will not be eligible for further counselling rounds.
BFUHS will also carry out conversion of NRI, reserved and Institutional Preference seats into open merit during Round-3, but only after exhausting all eligible candidates of the respective categories. Candidates are strongly advised to read the latest BFUHS prospectus and notifications carefully and keep track of all updates on the official website before filling choices or resigning any seat.
