On April 13, 2023, Prime Minister Modi opened the new campus of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Guwahati. The campus is fully equipped. It provides separate dormitories for boys and girls. On campus, there are sports facilities available to students. containing a playground, four badminton courts, two basketball courts, and a tennis facility.All students have access to the campus laboratories, which are outfitted with the newest equipment. The AIIMS in Guwahati will be constructed using sustainable and green building techniques.

AIIMS GUWAHATI

The Institute now conducts business from its main campus, which covers an area of 189.2 acres and includes an institutional complex, a hospital complex, hostels, and a residential complex, at Changsari, Kamrup (Rural) District, Guwahati. The cutting-edge hospital has 750 beds total, including 30 AYUSH beds. The hospital will have a 100-MBBS student annual intake capacity, with the goal of providing the people of Northeast with top-notch medical facilities.In addition to providing OPD and emergency services, the hospital will contain a 750-bed in-patient facility run by specialty and super-speciality departments and outfitted with all modern conveniences. The AIIMS GUWAHATI OPD has between 300 and 500 patients.
