The first institution in the group, AIIMS Delhi, was founded in 1956 and is governed by the AIIMS Act, 1956, which is overseen by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Its infrastructure is the best. In the library, there is free WiFi. Both a heater and an air conditioner are in the library. There are numerous labs in the RP Centre, including those for cornea, retina, retinal research, perimetry, glaucoma, pathology, microbiology, and biochemistry. There are facilities, including a gym and a pool. The whole campus is spread over an area of 213.12 acres. AIIMS Delhi is said to have one of the largest and most beautiful campuses in India.
